柯也說，接觸過中國官員，對方對小英很不友善，認為民進黨的意識型態不同，市長可以迴避九二共識，但蔡英文擔任過WTO（世界貿易組織）首席談判代表，折衝、談判是她的專長，他對她有信心。

柯說，自己是醫師，經濟也是弱項，所以態度是盡量讓民間力量可以發揮，「民間先行、政府支持」就是他的政治概念，建議蔡英文應該要平穩上線、穩紮穩打，每個人按照自己的個性去做事。

至於第二大挑戰則是中國。柯說，大家都說要維持現狀，但維持現狀就很困難，什麼是現狀，在美國、中國兩大之間難為小，這確實是困難。
市長柯文哲昨接受電台專訪，被問到對選情的看法，柯表示，很難預料，民進黨總統候選人蔡英文會贏，但不曉得會贏幾萬票；蔡英文上任後，將面臨經濟、中國兩大挑戰。
